Identify Volunteer opportunities that you are interested in

The purpose of this survey is to help members find ways to become more involved with AODA activities. Almost all the word done by AODA is done by volunteers who have a passion for dietetics and want to further promote the dietetics profession world wide. A benefit of becoming more engaged is to meet and have the opportunity to work with other dietitians around the world. It allows you to learn more about their culture, work settings, and most of all create lasting friendships. Below we have listed some of the current opportunities for involvement and also give you the opportunity to identify other activities that may not yet be in the current plans that you would be interested in participating in.

This survey has two pages, one for volunteer leader positions and one for potential projects.

Kids Eatright International (KERI) (participate in providing nutrition education in your country)

Webinar Speaker (Identify topic and prepare and present session for AODA webinars)

Social Media contributor (facebook or Blogger) (Identify topics and prepare content for posting)

Newsletter contributor (Suggest topics and write articles for Monthly E-blast or Passport)

Middle East Nutrition and Dietetics Assessment follow-up activities (Develop materials to identify common education backgrounds and advocacy documents promoting the contributions of dietitians in the Greater Middle East)

Serve as Country Representative (CR) (Serve as a liason to dietitians and dietetic organizations in your county)

Gathering nutrition education materials for local region (Identify sound nutrition education materials that can be contributed to the Resource hub for free worldwide)

Development of materials to support humanitarian Nutrition workers

Regional expert reviewer for Food and Nutrition Resource Hub materials (Middle east is one of next regions)

Technical assistance to researchers submitting research grants applications (e.g. review grant applications and provide feedback, assist in finding sources of funding)

Listserve group manager (monitor listserve and posts to ensure that they receive responses if requested, review newsletters and re-post information as applicable, propose new topics for discussion at least 1-2 times per month.)
