Introduction
The City of Rancho Cordova is studying an opportunity to build a bicycle and pedestrian trail along Cordova Creek, creating connections for nearby residents to safely walk and bike to schools, parks, and other trails. The proposed project alignment begins at the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail along the south side of the American River Parkway, and runs south approximately one-half mile before meandering east along the creek channel. The proposed alignment runs approximately 1.5 miles east along the creek channel through residential development before ending at Federspiel Park where Beclan Drive crosses over the creek channel.
