This research project is primarily concerned with the sharing and reuse of open digital resources, including Open Educational Resources (OERs), for the development of online academic language collections, and the user interfaces designed and developed in the FLAX Language System for accessing these collections.

In particular, this research project is interested in hearing from learners registered on CopyrightX who have used the FLAX language resources developed from Professor Fisher’s lectures at Harvard University.

By answering these survey questions, you are consenting to us using your anonymized data for research and dissemination purposes. All the answers you provide to the following questions will be held securely. Because we are collecting anonymized data we will not be able to identify your data should you wish to withdraw from the study. It will not be possible to identify any individual from any published account of the results of this study. Our data protection policy complies with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, the UK’s Data Protection Act (1988) and the USA’s Protection of Human Subjects (45 CFR 46).

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You can stop answering the survey at any time by closing your browser. If you complete the survey you will be asked if you would like to enter into a prize draw for a USD100 Amazon gift voucher or a donation of USD100 to the charity of your choice. You cannot enter the prize draw if you do not complete the survey. Upon completing the survey, entry into the prize draw is entirely optional and your name and contact email address will be kept separate from your anonymised survey data. Any contact information you provide will be stored securely and not released to any third party. Winners will be drawn at random by the online survey software, SurveyMonkey, when the survey closes on July 31, 2016.
