* 1.

Dear Conway Resident,

We need your expert opinion and advice by May 15, 2017. Your input is very important and could potentially direct future management decisions. The Department of Recreation and Sport Management at Coastal Carolina University is conducting a needs assessment for the Conway Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.

The information you provide in this survey will be important to determining the recreation and park interests and needs for the city. The survey results will also be used to assist in completing a master planning project for the city. We would like to emphasize this study is neither negative nor positive about the parks and recreation; it is designed to identify your interests, needs, satisfaction, and concerns.

Please take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey. The benefit to you by completing this survey is that you will have input in the planning of parks, recreation, and tourism for the city. Filling out the survey is on a strictly voluntary basis. Please be aware that there will be no penalties if you do not complete the survey. You are also free to omit any questions you do not feel comfortable answering. If you choose to participate, your answers will be kept strictly confidential. Since you don’t include your name anywhere in the survey we can ensure that you remain anonymous.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Don Rockey, at 843-349-4040 or drockey@coastal.edu. If you would like a copy of the results from the study, you can also write me at the address below the salutation.

Thank you very much for your time and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Donald Rockey, Ph.D.
