I. Vignette

John and Samantha just finished drinks with friends at a popular bar in town. They have known each other for the last two years, and it was a special night because the friends were celebrating their college football teams win against a rival school.  After closing both their bar tabs, they caught a cab to Samantha’s apartment where they decided to watch a movie. Grabbing a blanket, Samantha popped in the DVD and sat down next to John on the couch. About 20 minutes into the movie, it was clear that John was not that interested in the plot of the film. He reached down and brushed his hand slowly against her breast. Somewhat startled at the sensation, Samantha looked up at him and moved his hand away gently. They have been sexually active on a few occasions, but tonight Samantha didn’t really feel like starting anything sexual. After a few minutes, John again rested his hand on her breast and began massaging it through her sweater. He leaned in and began to kiss her. Samantha kissed back, though not very enthusiastically, and then continued watching the movie; however it seemed the movie was the furthest thing from John’s mind. John began removing Samantha’s top, as well as unbuttoning the top of his own jeans. Very soon both were close to being naked. They missed the rest of the movie having sex.
