Overview

The Colorado Nonprofit Association is seeking dynamic nonprofit leaders, business partners, and content experts to present at our upcoming Connecting Colorado Conferences across the state!

The Connecting Colorado conference series is the Colorado Nonprofit Association’s statewide gathering of nonprofit leaders, staff, board members, and champions.

In 2026, we will host four one-day regional conferences across the state:
  • Fort Collins | April 10, 2026
  • Colorado Springs | May 14, 2026
  • Grand Junction | September 17, 2026
  • Denver | October 16, 2026
This call is specifically for the upcoming regional conferences. A separate application for the Denver conference will open in early 2026.

Each conference provides a full day of professional development, peer learning, and networking designed by and for Colorado’s nonprofit community. Sessions will strengthen knowledge, share promising practices, and spark actionable ideas across topics such as fundraising, board development, community engagement, DEI, finance/accounting, volunteer management, HR and workplace culture, strategy and planning, advocacy and policy, and digital innovation.

Preference for the Denver conference will be given to presenters who agree to present at least one regional conference, ensuring statewide access to your expertise.

We are seeking conference session proposals that align with the Colorado Principles and Practices of Nonprofit Excellence and offer at least one of the following:
  • Practical lessons and hands-on learning opportunities for nonprofit leaders at organizations of various sizes
  • Real-world applications with actionable strategies for immediate implementation
  • Peer-to-peer sharing of best practices to foster collaboration and networking
  • Interactive formats such as workshops, case studies, or panel discussions

Ideal sessions will:
  • Create an engaging environment for nonprofit leaders to learn from each other
  • Enhance participants' skills for greater community impact
  • Offer tangible takeaways that attendees can apply in their organizations.

We aim to cultivate an atmosphere where nonprofit professionals can gain valuable insights, share experiences, and develop their leadership capabilities

Selection & Timeline
Proposals received by December 12 will receive the highest consideration for the April (Fort Collins) and May (Colorado Springs) conferences. The application will remain open until February 16th for the September (Grand Junction) conference.

To ensure equitable access to high-quality sessions across the state, priority for Denver presenters will be given to presenters who commit to presenting at least one regional conference. A separate application for the Denver conference will open in early 2026.

Presenters selected to participate will be notified by 12/15/2025 for the April and May conferences and 2/20/2026 for the September conference. If you do not hear from us by that date, we sincerely thank you for your time and proposal submission, but your session was not selected for this year’s conference series.
