Caltech Connect Training RSVP - 05/07/2026 - Students Only

05/07/2026 | 269 Downs-Lauritsen | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Caltech Connect training provides practical information about how to approach someone experiencing distress, concrete strategies for intervention, approaches to suicide prevention, and information about referring to appropriate resources. This training will enable participants to differentiate between helpful and unhelpful language and strategies, provide Caltech-specific data on mental health, and explore ways to participate in the Caltech Community of CARE.

Please note that this session is being jointly offered to all students in this term's Peer Advocate and Health Advocate classes, and we also invite any other interested students to join us. No need to RSVP if you're currently enrolled in either one of those classes; otherwise, please RSVP so we know you're coming. Also, please note that Downs-Lauritsen requires ID card access for entry to the building.

This session is only for Caltech students; please visit the the training calendar for other trainings for staff, faculty, and postdocs.

Please be sure to arrive on time; we'll start promptly at 7:00. Because there is no food or drink allowed, please make time to eat something beforehand.
