The Congolese Dance & Drum Workshop (CDDW) is a 10-day residential intensive that provides a rare opportunity for participants to explore traditional Congolese art and culture. Work study staff members are a valued part of the Workshop experience. We aim to build a cohesive and fully committed team, and ask that all applicants strive to work well with all team members and be serious about sharing responsibility. CDDW's Work study program is comprised of five teams including Kitchen/Food Prep, Kitchen Clean-up/Dish, Kindezi (Child care), bathrooms, and floors/garbage. Responsibilities vary with each team, and shifts rotate.

The Congolese Dance & Drum Workshop (CDDW) requests that all work study candidates commit to the entire workshop. However, in some cases, work trade applicants who commit to at least half of the workshop (5 consecutive days) are accepted. Qualified applicants will receive further information regarding work study upon review of your application and acceptance into the Work study program.

Each work study participant is responsible for their own work trade, and will be required to participate fully in the manner designated by the organizer. Failure to honor the expectations of CDDW's Work Study program will result in trade reassignment, removal from the program, and/or fee's to be paid in full.

Please note that all work trade shifts are rotating, and participants will not be able to attend all classes everyday.

Full (10 day) Trade $600
Half (5 day) Trade $450
