Community Recommendations and Feedback

Technology is constantly changing and so too has the sophistication of cybersecurity threats. To adjust to this reality and protect the security of students, staff and the broader school community, the OCDSB is updating its computer network security policy.

The District’s current policy, P.074.IT Computer Network Security, was approved in 1999. After two decades, a new policy is needed to assist in raising District awareness of how to confront security threats to the organization. The new policy is intended to be a high level policy which establishes key areas of control in the District's network security infrastructure, including incident management, business continuity, monitoring and compliance.

As part of this process, the OCDSB is consulting with key stakeholders for recommendations and feedback on our updated computer network security policy.
