2018 Community and Faith Leader Summit: Raising Hope for Foster and Adopted Children

The MDHHS Community and Faith-Based Initiative on Foster Care and Adoption will host the 2018 Community and Faith Leader Summit on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, MI. We hope business, community, and faith leaders who are interested in learning more about ways to support families involved in foster care and adoption will attend the Summit.
The purpose of the event is to build a greater awareness of the needs of children in foster care and in adoptive homes and to provide an opportunity for business, community, and faith leaders to play a part in enhancing the lives of these children, youth, and their families. We welcome individuals, community leaders, business representatives, and faith leaders of all religions to learn more and join our efforts. Together, we can present possibilities, instill hope, and empower these children, youth, and families to thrive.
CONFERENCE DATE AND TIME: Friday, May 18, 2018, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
ONLINE REGISTRATION: Each participant must register separately.
CONFERENCE FEES: There are no fees to attend the Summit. Hotel accommodations are available at a discounted rate for this event.
MEALS: Lunch will be provided to participants during the Summit.
CHILDCARE: Childcare will not be provided as this Summit is for adults only.
LODGING: For participants desiring overnight accommodations at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, discounted guestroom rates are offered for May 17, 2018 through May 20, 2018. Summit participants are responsible for making their own room reservations and paying for all lodging expenses and incidentals. Discounted rates are offered based on availability of rooms.

Room rates quoted above are per room, per night, based on single/double occupancy, plus taxes and fees. Additional adults in a guest room will be charged a $15.00 per person, per night rate for the duration of their stay. In addition to the rates set forth above, there will be a daily resort fee of $16.95 per room, per night. The resort fee will be automatically posted to your guest room account.
