Enrol in our community co-led programme of health and wellbeing support
Mabadiliko CIC is a community-based, antiracist organisation. Together with the London Borough of Lewisham’s Public Health team, a local GP practice The Lewisham Care Partnership (TLCP), and 360 Lifestyle Support Network CIC, we are running a community health programme to help Black African, Black Caribbean, and other minoritised and underserved communities in Lewisham learn more about kidney health - and to support people who are living with kidney disease to live well.
You do not need to have a kidney disease diagnosis to take part. Whether you are curious about your kidney health, worried you might be at risk, newly diagnosed, or living with kidney disease, these sessions are for you.

From April, we will be running regular community support clinics - a safe space where you can:
- share your health experiences and learn from and with others in your community;
- discuss your questions with a GP and healthcare professionals who have the time to listen;
- 'know your numbers' (kidney function, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol) and understand what they mean for your health;
- hear about and enrol in culturally-tailored lifestyle and wellbeing programmes;
- drop in when it suits you - these sessions will run on a rolling basis, so there is no fixed start date.

You are eligible to take part if you are:

- an adult (18 years old or over);
- curious about kidney health, at risk of or living with kidney disease, or caring for a loved one with kidney disease;
- of Black Caribbean or Black African heritage, or from another marginalised or minoritised community;
- resident in Lewisham;
- registered (or eligible to register) with a GP at any of the following TLCP practices: Belmont Hill Surgery; Hilly Fields Medical Centre; Honor Oak Group Practice; Morden Hill Surgery; St John's Medical Centre.
Accessibility
We want these sessions to be accessible to everyone, and will be delivering both in-person (at local community venues) and online sessions. When you register, please let us know if you have any access requirements - for example, physical access (step-free, lift access), hearing or visual support, dyslexia-friendly materials, language support, or any other needs. We will do our best to accommodate you.
