Thank you for agreeing to participate in the community input into a range of issues that affect the Weddin Community. As you are aware Weddin Shire Council was, with strong community support, able to retain its independence and stand alone. However, there are new laws which require continued improvement to ensure Weddin Council can continue to operate independently. These laws require a strong community engagement in preparing future plans to remain sustainable.

In delivering better services to the community the Council needs to have evidence that the community is generally supportive of what Council have agreed to do to be fit into the future and what projects are community priorities.

A lot of what lay ahead for Council to be sustainable requires improvements in management to improve efficiency and be more effective in delivering services.

While the Council wants to continue to improve community facilities over the next 10 years Council also needs to make sure that services and facilities meet peoples needs delivering a place in which existing and new residents want to live, work and invest.

Your answers will help us to work together to make that happen.
