License revenue is needed to maintain and increase fishing opportunities

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is considering options for increasing commercial fishing license revenue to help close the gap between future expenditures and projected funding.
Increased revenue also will help the department respond to the commercial fishing industry’s desire to maintain and enhance fisheries, which are vital to the state’s economy and play an important role in Washington’s culture.
As we have in the past, we are seeking comments on what you like about each of these proposals and how they can be improved.   We encourage you to comment on any, or all, of the 2017-19 policy and budget proposals.
