What is Mental Health First Aid?

1 in 4 people will struggle with a mental health challenge in their lifetime. That means it's likely someone you care about will be or has been impacted. Would you know what to look for, and how to help?

Become Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certified, and join thousands of Coloradoans already part of the movement to increase mental health literacy and reduce stigma. Learn the signs of mental health challenges, how to respond, and how to connect those in crisis with support systems.

This course is not unique to ColoradoCAL. In fact, MHFA courses are taught across the state (and the world) on a regular basis. However, ColoradoCAL will always ensure that our instructors for this course are aware of and friendly to the communities that we support (LGBTQ+, Kink, and Non-Monogamy). Our lead instructor is a member of these communities and will be carefully screening any additional instructors that present the course through our program.

This will ensure that our classroom is a safe space and that those who take the course through our program can be confident in asking questions that are important to them without having to censor or restrict themselves, and expect a fully-informed answer from someone who understands their lifestyle.
