Applicants for this category of membership include nonphysician providers who work in collaboration with a neurologist or physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR) physician who treats patients with neuromuscular diseases. Collaborators do not perform or interpret needle electromyography (EMG) or interpret nerve conduction studies (NCSs) but are active in the field of neuromuscular medicine.

Collaborator members can be business administrators managing academic or private neurology or PMR practices, supervisors that no longer perform electrodiagnostic (EDX) studies, or those with special training in the healthcare field such as nurses, physicians assistants, or pharmacists.
