Introduction

For the past nine years, Rowing Canada Aviron with some support from Sport Canada has been assisting clubs in building awareness and increasing grassroots participation among youth in rowing. Since the program’s inception, RCA has distributed over $300,000 in funds to more than 46 clubs across Canada to assist with youth program and coach development.

In 2018, RCA will continue to prioritize Coaching Development with an emphasis on increasing the number of NCCP Certified Coaches and Coach Developers (Facilitators and Evaluators) engaged in developing our young Canadian rowers as they progress along the athlete pathway.

In 2018, RCA will provide:
  • Grants up to a maximum of $2500 in funding to RCA Member Organizations (PRA's, Clubs and Special Associations) towards Coach Developer and Certification (NCCP) initiatives that enhance the development of our Canadian coaches across Canada.
Review and award of applications will be completed and announced at the RCA National Rowing Conference on January 27, 2018.
