Section One

The Canterbury Society of Arts Charitable Trust (CSA) is running a community consultation process with stakeholders to determine the best way for it to contribute to a thriving visual arts scene in Ōtautahi.

The outcomes of this consultation are in no way predetermined, and a key objective is to ensure that CoCA’s community of supporters are heard and their views taken into account in deciding CoCA’s future.

For this reason, timing of the consultation is fluid; while the CSA has publicly committed to a 10-week consultation process, the questions that the CSA is asking the local arts community are of vital importance to the relevance and success of CoCA going forward.  Therefore, the CSA Board has agreed to allow the consultation process to unfold organically so as to ensure that the final decisions reached are well informed and all important considerations are taken into account.

In order to ensure that the consultation process is as effective as possible, the first part of this initial survey focuses on how the CSA should run the consultation process.  Answers from this initial survey will be used to assist in the design of the consultation process.

The CSA would be grateful if you could complete this survey by 5pm on Friday 20 May 2022.
