CCNYPA 2022 Civic Imagination Application

Introduction to the application

CCNYPA’s Civic Imagination Grant program is designed to support higher ed institutions working together in New York & Pennsylvania whether by proximity or interest in similar topics to address common issues. CCNYPA's Civic Imagination Grants may focus on one of these types: Catalyst Grants, Starter Grants, and Co-Sponsorship Grants. These funds are drawn from an internal grant and have been approved by CCNYPA’s Board.

The Civic Imagination Grants build on higher education’s capacity to cultivate civic imagination, deepen civic and community engagement and strengthen CCNYPA’s regional communities. This year, we are especially interested in supporting efforts that focus on racial healing, democratic engagement, and climate justice/change. However, we will consider applications with robust ideas that may not directly focus on these three topics.

In order that you have your information prepared, we have included a PDF of the application in the RFA to provide a preview of all of the information requested. All applications for Civic Imagination Grants must be submitted on-line. Applications for Spring are due January 18, 2022. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis.

Please note: If you want to make changes to your application after you've submitted it, here are some important instructions: In order for this setting to work properly, the respondent must use the same device and web browser they used to start the survey on because a cookie is stored in the respondent's browser that remembers their survey responses.

For any questions about the application, please contact Char Gray-Sorensen at char@compactnypa.org.
