We're so excited you are interested in Women’s Fund Circles. Below we’ve included information about our organization and invite you to also visit our Circles webpage to learn more.

This application process is all about YOU! We want to hear your story and learn what brought you to Circles. Circles is about building community and connection, and we strive to learn about each other as we move through this process.

We invite you to complete this application in a way that makes sense for you, in *your* voice. This is not a formal job application, there is no right or wrong way to respond. We seek to build a diverse membership within Circles and that means considering the whole person, not just what’s on a resume. Our goal is to create an environment in Circles that is affirming, welcoming and rich with diverse experiences.

You are encouraged to bring your authentic voice to this application; your original ideas without the assistance of AI is encouraged. We understand some people may use AI to refine their statements, however we hope that your unique humanness can shine through.

The application process consists of:
  1. Applicants complete questions on this form to help us learn about you. If accommodations are needed during the application process please reach out to Claudia Muñoz-Nájar, Circles President, at claudiamnr@gmail.com.
  2. A committee of current Circles members and the Women's Fund Circles Staff Liaison review all applications. Please note that interviews are no longer part of the selection process.
  3. Applicants are notified whether or not they are invited to join Circles Class 15 in mid to late September.

This event is an opportunity to meet Circles alumni, current members and new people interested in joining the Circles group. Join us to learn more about the Circles experience!

Overview:
Circles has a shared vision with the Women's Fund of Omaha, a community where all women and girls have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

How We Discuss Gender:
Women and girls includes anyone who identifies as a woman or girl. Our work, including funding and advocacy efforts, is inclusive of all individuals, including transgender and gender expansive people, that experience gender oppression.
Circles Mission statement:
Circles is a diverse network of leaders (women, femmes and gender-expansive individuals) who support the mission of the Women’s Fund. Through Circles, members cultivate authentic relationships and leverage a community that supports and empowers each other.

Circles Inclusion Statement:
Women’s Fund Circles is intentional about creating a community that builds bold and affirming spaces to create authentic relationships and develop leadership for individuals that face gender-based oppression (this includes cis and trans women as well as nonbinary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.)


Circles members can expect:
  • Project work that advances the mission of the Women’s Fund and your own personal passions
  • Relationships that will last well beyond the three years of active membership
  • To serve as an ambassador for women, girls and anyone facing gender-based oppression in the community through work with the Women’s Fund
  • Leadership opportunities to support your personal and professional growth
Members serve two years, with an optional third year. Monthly hybrid meetings are typically scheduled for the first Wednesday of the month, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with lunch served. Members are expected to attend 75% of monthly meetings, attend 2-4 Women’s Fund events per year (with an expectation of purchasing a ticket to our 2026 fall luncheon on October 22) and pay $100 annually in membership dues to the Women’s Fund (due by July 1 each year with option to pay over time).
