Understanding of Climate Change and Priorities for Climate Action Plan (CAP) Update

BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
The City of Chino (City) is working on updating the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP).The plan will help the City to prioritize actions that are required to reduce City’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and serve as the roadmap for implementing communitywide programs, projects, and policies. It is important for the City to have a plan that is consistent with the community character and takes into consideration the community’s needs and priorities. Therefore, as the City moves forward with updating its CAP, it is crucial to assess the local community stakeholders’ perspectives on how to make Chino more sustainable, and what benefits and priorities are the most important so that the City can address it in the CAP update.
