The Issue of Poverty and the SDGs in Chinese Management Education (2021)

Welcome to the Survey

The aim of this survey is to better understand the challenges and solutions business and management educators in China as they seek to include the issue of poverty and inequality into business school curricula, modules, programmes and courses. It aims at exploring the topic of responsible management education in light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Please note that the survey uses the word “poverty” broadly, including the related concept of inequality. In the context of teaching and learning, poverty can refer to any of the following: the base/bottom of the pyramid, pro-poor business models, low income/subsistence/inclusive markets, etc.

This survey is a combination of closed and open-ended questions and takes about 15 minutes to complete. There are no right and wrong answers to the questions. You may choose to take the questionnaire or not. If you choose to take it, you may stop at any time without consequence. The data collected will be analysed in the aggregate and individual responses anonymised.

The data collected will be analyzed in the aggregate. Aggregate responses also may be used in academic papers and at conferences such as the 8th Responsible Management Education Research Conference on Poverty and Prosperity: Implications for Advancing the SDGs, 2030 Agenda and Responsible Management Education in a Post-Pandemic World, to be held 19-22 October 2021 in Suzhou, China.
