The Town of Chester is studying ways to extend pedestrian facilities on Main Street in Chestertown. Currently, the sidewalks on Main Street end at Foster Flats/Panther Mountain Road; this makes it difficult to walk to any of the businesses and community services located to the south, including the new Chester-Horicon Health Center. The Town has asked Creighton Manning to study Main Street to determine where new sidewalks, crosswalks, and related features could be added in this area and how much it might cost to build them. This survey should take about five minutes, and it will gather information about where residents want to walk, the best and worst places to cross the road, and what kind of features are desired. Thank you for your help!
