* 12. One of the issues that the Committee has been asked to review is the “Cut Line Policy” which allows certain vehicles to cut the ferry line. At the present time there are a number of categories of vehicles that are allowed to cut the ferry line – some require an additional fee. The Categories at present are:
·       Police and Fire Department vehicles on an emergency run to and from Chappy
·       Police and Fire Department and other town vehicles (highway department trucks including those hired by town for work on Chappy) not on an emergency run to and from Chappy, School Buses
·       Visiting Nurses
·       Fuel delivery trucks that need to travel at high tide and require additional safety precautions
·       Cement trucks that need to travel at high tide
·       Mail, UPS, Fedex delivery trucks that service Chappy residents
·       Public Utility vehicles (Verizon, Comcast, Eversource)
·       Other vehicles at the discretion of the Ferry Operation
