Question Title

* 1. The Pasadena City Council will be discussing their consideration of an ordinance imposing increased minimum wage requirements for Pasadena businesses.

Right now, there is no proposal to be discussed, but advocates are urging the Pasadena City Council to enact minimum wage regulations that would mirror what was recently passed in the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County. These regulations require the minimum wage to be raised to $10.50 an hour in 2016; to $12.00 in 2017; and to $13.25 in 2018; $14.25 in 2019 and raising to $15 per hour in 2020. It would then be indexed to inflation in subsequent years. The proposed law would cover everyone who works in Pasadena (except state and federal government employees and the self-employed).

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Board will consider the proposal in the near future.

We would like to know your thoughts on how this measure could impact you and your business.
