- Personalised education and training to develop work practices for better client outcomes.
- Workshops held 2 days a week for 12 months at RMIT's Melbourne CBD campus.
- Support to complete 150 hours of work placement, gaining hands-on experience at leading social service organisations.

Fee-free in 2019
From January 2019, the Victorian Government will cover course tuition fees for students who are eligible for Victorian Government-subsidised training and are enrolled in government-designated priority TAFE courses. The Certificate III in Individual Support is one of these courses.

Free TAFE for priority courses will reduce the financial barrier for those wanting to train in courses that lead to priority occupations – those in demand from employers in the Victorian economy.

Eligibility
You may be eligible if you are living in Victoria and are under 20 years of age or if you are enrolling in a course at a higher level than any you have completed before.

If you are eligible, you can access this initiative only once, even if you do not finish your tuition-free-free priority course. So, it is important that you consider your training choice carefully. The Free TAFE for Priority Courses initiative will cover the tuition fees for the duration of your course. You’ll still need to pay for other fees, such as student services fees and materials fees.

To be eligible, you must meet the Victorian State Government eligibility criteria, which includes location, citizenship, age and education history. You can also read more about this initiative on the RMIT website.
