WELCOME TO MACCABI CANADA'S 2025-2026 CATCHBALL SEASON.

The season will open in SEPTEMBER 2025.

Practice Details:
Teams train once a week as per their team schedule date/time/location.
Practice and Game schedule is populated on TeamSnap.
Start date will vary by team based on facility opening day.

League details:

League matches will commence October 16, 2025 - June 2026*.
Each team will play 12 league season matches
Two tournaments, mid and end of season.
Players enroll with their Team.
More details to follow later.

Matches will take place on Thursday evenings.
There will be two matches; 7pm and 830pm scheduled on select weeks.
Location of Thursday Matches - Associated at Finch or York Hill Public School

2025-2026 SEASON

TEAM PRACTICE
Players on existing teams will enroll with their current team. Practice once a week.
New Players, you will have the option to join a team that has identified they have spots open for new players. Tryouts may be required by the team.
All players will receive an email from Maccabi Canada's Head office confirming your enrollment and email to remit payment.

TEAM LEAGUE
Teams will join the league for bi-weekly games. Team Captain will sign up the team.
NEW - RECREATIONAL GAME NIGHT 2025-2026
WEDNESDAY @830-10pm at Associated Hebrew School

New Players who are just learning the game or players who would like to continue playing in a recreational enviroment, or players who want to play more catchball, you will have the option to join the Recreational Game Night.

All players will receive an email from Maccabi Canada's Head office confirming your enrollment and email to remit payment.
Team Outline
The number of players per team is capped at 16. If a team decides to have less than 16 players, for example 12, the cost will reflect the number of players on your per team.
**Minimum of 12 is recommended for all teams. If the team does reach minimum, it will be reviewed by Head office.

A group of players may request to play together as a team. They can select a location offered by Maccabi Canada or source their own facility (details of own facility to be finalized).
Selection of a coach to be finalized.

Team Managers/Captains
Each team will select a team manager and captain. They will be the liaison between Maccabi Canada Head Office, the team, and the coach.

Player Description
Novice player: a player with no experience of the game
Beginner -Intermediate: 1 – 2 years experience playing the game
Experienced players: 3 or more years of play in the Maccabi Canada Catchball program with intermediate skill level or other team/league playing of comparable level.

NOTE:
Current teams (a team continuing from the previous season) may have a spot open for an additional player(s). Player placement takes into consideration, player commitment, availability, skill (to ensure the player meets the team's current level of play) and the team's dynamic. If you are interested in joining a current team, your participation is not guaranteed and is pending team approval. Please select a second choice as your first option may not be available. A team representative will contact you with further details.

It will be the team (& coach) decision on inviting new players to join.

Note:
  • At the time of enrollment, if a player selects a team that is full or not available, Maccabi Canada will contact you.
  • **Current Team (a team continuing from a previous season) - if a player selects a current team, your participation is not guaranteed and is pending team approval. A team representative will contact you with additional details. If this option is not available a Maccabi Canada representative will contact you with alternatives.
Teams marked COMPLETE have a full roster. If you sign up for the team, Maccabi Canada will contact you with further direction.

* 13. Cancellation Policy

In the case that Maccabi Canada cancels a team(s), for any reason, and no alternative teams are available or agreed upon with the player, a refund will be issued by cheque and mailed to the address provided on the participant’s registration form. Please allow 6-8 weeks for refunds to be processed.

If you wish, your refund can be donated back to Maccabi Canada and you will receive a donation receipt for the value of the refund.

* 14. Maccabi Canada reserves the right to cancel any program at any time if they feel it is not safe to continue to run and participate.
Safety of the participants, staff and their families is top priority.

* 15. Refund Policy

Refunds are based on your team's full fee value of the season.
  • Administration and processing fees of $100 are non-refundable.
  • If a player withdraws up to 7 days prior to the start of the season, the refund will be the full fee less 35% and the admin fee.
  • If a player withdraws within 7 days prior to the start of the season, the refund will be full fee less 50%, and the admin fee.
  • NO REFUNDS after 1 completed team practice. If the player selected the option to pay by installments, all remaining installments will be processed according to the payment plan.
Please allow 6-8 weeks for refunds to be processed by cheque.

WAIVER:
All players will be required to sign an electronic waiver for the season.

Upon confirmation of your enrollment you will receive the season waiver.
**Additional waivers may be required for outside sanctioned tournaments.

If the player's waiver is incomplete at the time of their first practice they will not be allowed to participate until waiver is signed.

* 16. Payment Information:
Season Fee is set up in two parts - Team Practice Fee and Team League Fee.

Team Practice Fee
The Team Practice fee will be provided to each team under separate email. The fee is reflective of the number of training sessions in their schedule and number of players on their roster.

Team League Fee $2400
The league fee is to be paid by each team to participate.
Your team can determine the individual player fee based on the number of players on your roster.

Recreational
The fee will be finalized based on the number of participants per season.

Fees are subject to change based on a team's additional requests.

NOTE:
  • Player Practice payment will ONLY be accepted online.
  • Your enrollment or spot on the team will not be processed or guaranteed if payment is outstanding.
  • You will have the option to pay the season in full or in installments that will be automatically charged to your credit card on the set date each month.
  • If your credit card does not transmit you will be charged $50 for incomplete processing each time.

IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED BY AS PER YOUR TEAM EMAIL, YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED.
