The Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG), in partnership with the Town of Casco, is testing temporary roadway safety improvements at the Webb’s Mills intersection.
Between 2021 and 2025, 125 people died and over 730 people were seriously injured on roads in the Greater Portland region. GPCOG has outlined plans to reduce these fatalities and serious injuries to zero by 2045 in the
Vision Zero Greater Portland action plans. As part of this initiative, we are testing temporary, low-cost improvements in key areas. These projects, designed using community feedback and safety data, will pilot infrastructure improvements that reduce serious crashes and save lives.
We want to hear from you.
Your feedback will help us understand your experience of the Webb’s Mills intersection before changes are made and evaluate whether the demonstration project improves safety and comfort. The survey takes about 3 minutes.
