Care Day is all about celebrating and connecting young people with lived experience of care.
This year, we want to recognise care experienced young people who have had a significant achievement, or who have made a contribution to their community.
Nominations are now open, and winners will be announced on Care Day, Friday 19 February.
All the nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including members of the VOYPIC Board of Directors, and external representatives. They will only see what is on the nomination form, where it says ‘Why do you think this person should get an award?’. So, make sure you give as much information about why you’re nominating them as you can.
You can nominate as many people as you want. If you’re not sure which category best fits, just tick ‘Not sure’ and we’ll work it out. For all the categories (except Care Hero Award) the person you nominate must be aged 30 years old or under, and have experience of being in care in Northern Ireland. For the Care Hero Award, you can nominate any adult (aged 25 years old or over) whether they have been in care or not.
If you have any questions about these awards, contact Brenda on 028 9024 4888 / info@voypic.org.
