Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 | Avery Library | 11:00am-1:00pm
Caltech Connect training provides practical information about how to approach someone experiencing distress, concrete strategies for intervention, approaches to suicide prevention, and information about referring to appropriate resources. This training will enable participants to differentiate between helpful and unhelpful language and strategies, provide Caltech-specific data on mental health, and explore ways to participate in the Caltech Community of CARE.
Please note that this session is only for Caltech staff and postdocs; there is a separate section for students on November 18th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm; please visit the the training calendar for the RSVP link. Faculty will receive information about a separate training later in the academic year.
Please be sure to arrive on time; we'll start promptly at 11:00. Because there is no food or drink allowed in Avery Library, please make time to eat something when we're done at 1:00.
