Cancer Programs Education Committees: Call for Topics for the 2022 ACS Clinical Congress

The Cancer Programs are currently developing educational topics to submit for inclusion in the 2022 American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress program. We invite you to submit a topic and either volunteer to be a moderator (or nominate a moderator). Please provide a working title, program description, and at least one objective for the topic along with the moderator name and contact information in the spaces provided below.

Keep in mind that the primary audience for Clinical Congress are American College of Surgeons Fellows, surgeons and physicians who hold credentials from other professional organizations, fellows, residents, and medical students so the Program Committee is interested in selecting topics that focus on surgical and other clinical issues as well as emerging issues.

The key clinical topics for Congress 2022 are:

Moderators must be a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons
Each topic must be submitted individually

Panel Session - 90-minute programs that focus on a wide range of specific clinical and nonclinical topics. These topics are covered in lectures by various distinguished members of their field and often allow time for audience participation. Attendance in panel sessions is included at no extra charge with a paid meeting registration. CME credit of 1.5 is offered, plus the option for self-assessment

Didactic/Experiential Courses are designed to increase knowledge and competency on a wide range of specific clinical topics. Entrance to these courses by paid ticket only. They consist of half-, one- and two-day sessions and provide CME credit hours, plus the option for Self-Assessment, and Level II Verification.

Meet the Experts sessions offer the opportunity to informally discuss a focused topic with an expert in the field. These sessions use an informal and nontraditional didactic approach. Advance registration is required and tickets are limited.
Entrance to these sessions are by paid ticket only, and are available for registered physician and medical student attendees. (Lunch is NOT included.)

Town Hall Meetings serve as a forum to provide informal discussion about relevant issues as well as to address specific topics and areas of concern identified by advisory councils and governing committees of ACS. (CME Credit is not offered.) These meetings are scheduled from 7:00 to 7:45 am, Tuesday through Thursday of Clinical Congress.
