Proposed 2026 Budget Feedback Survey
The Town of Iroquois Falls became a Strong Mayor municipality, along with 169 additional municipalities on May 1, 2025. Strong Mayor powers are under the authority of Part VI.1 (Special Powers and Duties of Head of Council) and in accordance with Section 284.16 of the Municipal Act, 2001, and Section 7 of Ontario Regulation 530/22.
In a strong-mayor municipality, the powers and duties for proposing and adopting a budget are now assigned to the mayor.
