About this survey
HelpAge Canada is conducting a project to better understand the experiences of women aged 55 and older and the role of community-based seniors-serving (CBSS) organizations in supporting their financial wellbeing and economic security.

You are invited to complete this online survey if you are a woman aged 55 or older who hold leadership roles within community-based seniors’ services (CBSS) organizations. Your participation will focus on your experiences, contributions, and perspectives as a leader.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The survey also includes some demographic questions, such as age and other characteristics. These questions help us understand the experiences of different groups of older women and whether experiences and needs differ across participants. You may choose not to answer any demographic question.

Risks and Inconveniences
Some questions may involve financial wellbeing, economic security, access to services, or personal experiences and may cause mild emotional discomfort. You may skip any question or stop the survey at any time.

Potential Benefits
You may not receive a direct personal benefit from participating. Your responses may contribute to a better understanding of older women's experiences and help inform future programs, services, policies, and supports.

How your information will be used
Your survey responses will be used for this project to understand the experiences of older women and the role of CBSS organizations. Findings may be included in reports, presentations, publications, and other project-related communications. Results will be reported in summary form and will not identify you.

Your information will be stored securely on password-protected HelpAge Canada systems. Research data will be retained for seven years and then securely deleted.

Voluntary Participation
Taking part is completely voluntary. Choosing not to participate will not affect your access to any services, supports, or relationships with CBSS organizations.

In this survey, "organisation", “this organisation” or “my local organisation” means the community-based senior supporting organisation (CBSS) you receive services from, volunteer with, or work in (depending on your role). Please keep that organisation (s) in mind when answering the questions.
This project has been reviewed and approved by the Community Research Ethics Board.
