Award Criteria
The winner of this award isn't necessarily a young person, whether they are new to the sector at the start of their career or following a career change later in life, they will have shown a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the people they support and making a positive impact within their workplace.
What are we looking for?
- Evidence that the individual consistently demonstrates kindness, empathy, and respect when supporting others.
- Examples of a person-centred approach that puts the needs, wishes, and wellbeing of individuals at the heart of their support.
- A clear enthusiasm for working in the Adult Social Care sector and a genuine desire to learn, develop, and improve the lives of others.
- Evidence of professionalism and resilience when handling challenges, complex, or emotional situations.
Eligibility Criteria
Has worked in Adult Social Care for less than 1 year
Has successfully completed probation
Has completed the Care Certificate (if working in a frontline care role)
Consistently goes above and beyond expectations
