The Hockey Community as a whole needs to step up with more people getting involved and volunteering. The Hockey Association needs to start calling in out of town refs, to cover games, if necessary. The Referee Association needs to become more active in recruiting and retaining personnel. USA Hockey needs to ease its stringent rules for recreation level hockey locally.
