TEACH ABROAD - Himeji, Japan

Phoenix Sister Cities, in cooperation with our Sister City in Himeji, Japan, seeks applicants to fulfill 1-2 year contracts with the Himeji Board of Education from September to August each school year.
Program eligibility requires U.S citizenship and permanent residency within the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Applicants attending college elsewhere are eligible to apply if their permanent residence is within the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Education Requirements
Adults with an accredited four-year degree are invited to apply to travel to Himeji, Japan. Degrees may be in any major/subject. A background in teaching is not required. Experience with the Japanese language is not required.

Mandatory Pre-Departure Training
Program participants are required to undergo a series of in-person pre-departure trainings focused on document preparation, assimilating to life in Japan, work duties, and more.

The application deadline for the 2020 program is February 21, 2020 at 11:59pm.
Application Fee
$25 Non-refundable application fee is required prior to the application deadline on February 21, 2020. Application fees may be paid online, over the phone, or by mail.
