Gambling-related harms

Introduction

Around 300,000 people in Great Britain are estimated to be experiencing ‘gambling-related harms’ defined as the adverse impacts from gambling on the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, communities and society. Categories of harm include: financial, relationship disruption, mental/ physical health, cultural, employment/ education and criminal activity.

We are currently aiming to gain a comprehensive understanding of gambling-related harms in York. We are keen to hear from professionals working across frontline services to better understand their experiences with clients, customers, or patients impacted by gambling-related harms. This will also aid in our understanding of existing services, and as such identify any gaps in service provision
