MnDOT University Ave NE (Hwy 47) Landscape Design Survey

MnDOT is planning safety and accessibility improvements along University Ave. N.E. (Hwy 47) between Central Ave. S.E. to 27th Ave. N.E. in Northeast Minneapolis. Construction is scheduled for 2027 and 2028.

As part of this work, MnDOT is planning new landscape design options for the project area.

We want to hear from you! Your input will help us develop the final landscape design including new street trees and boulevard groundcover.
When it comes to landscaping, please rank the importance of the following goals.
1.How important is it to maximize shade tree planting wherever possible?(Required.)
2.How important is it to minimize boulevard maintenance (for instance, planting native grasses instead of traditional turf grass that needs to be mowed regularly)?(Required.)
3.How important is it to prioritize the use of pollinator-friendly plant species?(Required.)
