Study Description:
The purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between experiences of breastfeeding and personality traits. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire. All data collected from participants will be anonymous. Participants will be in the study for approximately 30 minutes.
Your Rights, Privacy, and Welfare:
This research is anonymous. There will be no link between your identity and your responses. Your data will be identified with a code. The research team and the Institutional Review Board at The College of Mount Saint Vincent are the only parties that will be allowed to see the data, except as may be required by law. The data will be kept in a locked file cabinet in the office of the principle investigator. Any computers that contain files of data are password protected. If a report of this study is published, or the results are presented at a professional conference, only group results will be stated. All study data will be kept for three years.
Risks, Benefits, and Withdrawal
You are free to withdraw your consent and to discontinue participating in the study at any time without any penalty to you. In addition, you may choose not to answer any questions with which you are not comfortable.
There are no risks to your participation in this study. You will not incur any cost or compensation to participating in this study. The benefit of taking part in this study is to provide a greater understanding of the relationship between experiences of breastfeeding and personality traits. However, there is no direct benefit to you.
