2026-27 CAIR-CA’s K-12 School Climate Survey

Purpose of the Study:
CAIR California is conducting this survey to better understand the experiences of Muslim students in California schools, including bullying and discrimination. Your responses will help us identify challenges and improve support for Muslim youth.

Voluntary Participation & Confidentiality:
Participation is voluntary, and you may stop the survey at any time. Responses are confidential and will only be used to understand student experiences. Participants under the age of 18 have received parent or guardian permission to participate.

What is Bullying?
Bullying is any unwanted behavior that makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, excluded, or unable to fully participate in school. It may be physical (hitting, pushing, damaging property), verbal (teasing, name-calling, threats), social/emotional (rumors, exclusion, intimidation), or online (hurtful messages, posts, fake accounts, or harassment through social media, texting, gaming, or other digital platforms).

Thank you for sharing your experiences. Your voice matters and will help create safer, more supportive schools for Muslim students across California.
