* 5. Personal Information

CWL is interested in overcoming the barriers that divide women. We gather a group of 18 to 24 women that is diverse in terms of race, class, age, sexual orientation, personal and professional backgrounds and issue focus.

The selection process is designed to optimize diversity in all ways within the group, and to prioritize access for women of the region in which the training is offered.

Because we want to gather a diverse group, it is helpful for us to know something about your background, social identities, professional and issue interests. Please briefly describe yourself in relation to these areas and the elements of diversity described above.

* 6. In what ways have you practiced leadership? Where do you imagine your leadership taking you in the next one to two years?

* 8. What do you think you might uniquely bring to a wide-ranging group of women?

* 9. Please tell us about any experience that you have had participating in racially diverse groups and/or engaging with the issues and expressions of racial justice, white privilege, or overcoming oppression.

* 10. Cost of Training

Cost for the 6-day CWL intensive is $1950. This includes tuition and materials, comfortable lodging, healthy organic meals, and the support of three facilitators.

We will notify you regarding acceptance to the intensive 4 to 6 weeks prior to its start date. Please indicate below if you are able to pay the full price.

* 11. Donate to Scholarship Fund

Part of CWL's magic and uniqueness is directly related to the diversity in each cohort, which is only possible through scholarship support. Please indicate below if, in addition to your own costs, you are able to donate to our scholarship fund. Your donation is tax-deductible.

* 12. Scholarships

Because we aim to gather a diverse circle of women, we hope to remove obstacles for women who may need financial assistance in order to attend.

For those needing financial assistance, here are some strategies CWL alumna have found successful in the past:

• Request contributions from your family or friends.
• Raise support from your network of women.
• Ask your employer to support this training as a professional development opportunity.
• Approach a local community foundation to invest in your leadership through a scholarship.
• Explore local women's foundations or women's funding networks.
• Initiate a Kickstarter campaign or engage others through social media.

CWL offers a limited number of scholarships, prioritized for lower income women of the region where the retreat is held. In order to apply for a scholarship, please indicate the amount that you can pay toward the total costs, and the scholarship amount needed. Please understand that, since many women request support, full scholarships are rarely possible. A higher level of contribution will make it more possible for you, and other women, to attend. Scholarships will be awarded 4 to 6 weeks prior to the training start date.

What amount can you contribute toward the training costs, and what level of scholarship are you applying for?

* 13. Please describe your financial need in applying for a scholarship to attend CWL.

* 14. Special Needs

Are there any special considerations that we should know about regarding your lodging, dietary or facilities needs?
