The Anne Arundel County Office of Planning and Zoning (OPZ) wants to hear from community members about impacts you believe your community faces from industrial land uses. OPZ also wants to understand community members’ concerns about their environment and what you believe will improve the health of your community in the future.
OPZ will use your feedback to inform an Environmental Justice study. This study will investigate the location of industrial land uses to determine whether low-income communities and communities of color experience disproportionate impacts from these land uses. The findings of the study will be used to inform future land use policies, plans, and decisions to minimize future community health impacts. This study implements a strategy from the County’s General Development Plan, Plan2040, that supports improving quality of life for the County’s vulnerable populations.
