Brushes With Cancer Artist Application for Tel Aviv 2018

Mission: Brushes with Cancer provides psycho-social support to those touched by cancer to improve the quality of life for cancer patients, their family and loved ones, through a unique art experience.

Brushes With Cancer- Creating Unexpected Intersections
Brushes with Cancer strategically matches artists with those touched by cancer to create unique pieces of artwork reflective of their journey. Over a period of 6 months, selected pairs will connect in person, via Skype, on the phone or by email. Their relationships are guided and supported by Brushes with Cancer Mentors with the intention of creating a support system for both the artist and inspiration. The program finishes on a high note with our signature celebratory art exhibition, auction and gala where the artwork is revealed for the first time. The celebratory event will take place on the evening of Tuesday, March 13th at Beit Andromeda in Jaffa. The artwork will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting Twist Out Cancer's work in the community. Please note that the inspiration will receive a copy of the artwork that they inspired. All donations are tax deductible.

מחברת אומנים באופן אסטרטגי עם אלו שהסרטן נגע בהם , בכדי ליצור יצירות אומנות ייחודיות המשקפות את המסעם. במשך תקופה של 6 חודשים, הזוגות הנבחרים יתחברו פנים אל פנים, בסקייפ, בטלפון או באימייל. הקשרים שלהם יודרכו וייתמכו על ידי היועצים של הפרויקט, במטרה ליצור מערכת תמיכה גם לאומן וגם למושא ההשראה. התוכנית תסתיים בהצלחה עם התערוכה החגיגית האופיינית שלנו, מכירה פומבית וגאלה, שם היצירות ייחשפו לראשונה. האירוע החגיגי יערך בערב יום שלישי, ה-13 במרץ, בבית אנדרומדה ביפו. היצירות יועמדו למכירה פומבית, וההכנסות ילכו לטובת העבודה בקהילה של Twist Out Cancer. שימו לב, כל המשתתפים יקבלו עותק של יצירת האומנות שהיוו עבורה השראה. כל התרומות פטורות ממס.
