Hello Water, Utility, and Environmental Managers,
The Environmental Finance Center West (EFCWest), located in the San Francisco Bay Area, has been working with Tribes in California and throughout the southwest for over 15 years, providing workshops and technical assistance for waste, water, and energy planning and supporting initiatives for economic development, including business plans, and feasibility studies.

Recently, EFCWest was awarded a grant from the California Wellness Foundation to focus ONLY on Tribes in California, to support efforts to improve community health, provide safe drinking water, and reduce waste on reservation lands. Since the beginning of 2018, EFCWest has been providing FREE managerial training, technical assistance workshops, and one-on-one support for Tribes on safe drinking water, wastewater, solid waste management, resiliency, and other environmental infrastructure needs. We have assisted a variety of rural California Tribes with tailored support in areas including Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (ISWMP) updates, decision criteria framework analysis, water conservation, grant proposal development, and more. EFCWest has partnered with Tribes and prominent Tribal organizations to conduct many successful workshops across California for over 70 tribal members, government, and staff. Workshop topics have included workforce management, water rates (analysis, strategy, and implementation), grant writing, community outreach and engagement, and much more.

Workshops, webinars and one-on-one support opportunities associated with this grant will continue through 2019. To stay up to date about opportunities be sure to subscribe to our mailing list on the right side of the EFCWest California Tribal Resilience webpage if you haven’t already.

Your interest in one-on-one, tailored support is appreciated. Due to funding and areas of expertise, we may not be able to service all requests for one-on-one support. If you would like to be considered, please fill out this brief questionnaire so we can determine if your Tribe is a good fit for EFCWest's one-on-one customized support program. We will contact you to provide feedback on your request.
