Venous Thromboembolic Disease in pregnancy - request for information

The British Society for haematology (BSH) Global Haematology Special Interest Group is starting a new pilot project, inviting haematologists from low and middle-income countries (LMIC) to co-author ‘How I treat…..’ -type briefs on diagnosis and management of haematological conditions relevant to LMIC settings.

The first article of this series will focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolic disease (VTE) in pregnancy.

In preparation for this article, we would be grateful if you could complete this short survey, on how VTE occurring during pregnancy is managed in your country. Please do include your views and considerations in as much detail as possible, in addition to relaying details of the current practice.

This will help us to work alongside you in formulating projects and interventions towards the provision of the best possible care for mothers at risk of thrombosis.

Please send your response by Wednesday 13 March 2024.
