Planning for Congleton’s Future

Cheshire East Council faces significant financial pressures, which may result in some local services being devolved to town and parish councils without additional funding.

Congleton Town Council is exploring which services residents would like to see prioritised if more responsibilities are transferred locally. Any new or expanded services would need to be funded through an increase in the Town Council Precept (the portion of Council Tax that supports local services).
