Respiratory Therapists Level of Burnout When Routinely Involved in Multidisciplinary Debriefings and or Committees
I am surveying Registered Respiratory Therapists who primarily work in the ED or ICU to determine the level of professional burnout. The purpose of this research is to determine if correlations exist between RTs who are routinely involved in multidisciplinary debriefings or committees and their levels of burnout. Results from this study could support the need for hospitals to invest time and resources that would allow RRTs to be routinely involved in multidisciplinary debriefings and or committees. This research is being conducted through the A.T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies.
Your participation is completely voluntary and only involves responding to this survey. Please complete the survey via SurveyMonkey, which will provide data on professional burnout. Your contribution to the study can help strengthen and promote RT involvement in acute care facilities. I expect the survey to take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please answer questions honestly and to the best of your ability.
Participants can elect to provide an email address at the end of the survey if they want to be entered to win one of five Starbucks gift cards in the amount of $5.00 each. Email addresses will not be used to identify answers from the survey and will in no way be linked to your responses. By completing the survey, you are giving consent to participate. All study information will remain confidential and secure to the extent permitted by law. If you have any questions about this survey, please feel free to contact the lead investigator by telephone, 419-306-7031 or e-mail, apifher@atsu.edu.
