Identifying potential sites for housing development in Chart Sutton - feedback survey

On 7 June 2025, the Chart Sutton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group hosted an event at the Village Hall about the process we are following to identify a potential site/sites for housing development in the parish. This is in response to the need to identify space for approximately 35 homes as required by the Maidstone Local Plan Review.

A local Call for Sites has led to 11 sites being put forward in the parish. An initial high-level review of each site has been prepared by the Steering Group, the result of which can be found on Parish Council website.

We welcome your views on the initial assessments.

We also welcome your views in particular on the sorts of community benefits that you would like to see in Chart Sutton over the neighbourhood plan period. There is the potential for sites to help deliver these.

There is still much work to do in further assessing the sites and no decisions have yet been taken.
