It also introduces the role of civil society in the GFF and the engagement of civil society in the GFF to-date.

In order to facilitate greater engagement of civil society in GFF processes, it is important to make a strong case for civil society’s engagement, and to outline potential ways in which civil society can add value to the GFF. Specific roles and responsibilities for enhancing civil society engagement are outlined in the next section.
