CSH NY/NJ PSH Agency Questionnaire on Tenant Overdose

The overdose crisis is an ongoing issue across the U.S. Supportive Housing tenants are particularly at risk given the high prevalence of trauma histories, substance use disorder diagnoses, co-occurring disorders, and chronic health conditions. For example, recent data from the NYC Health Department showed that roughly 10% of all fatal overdoses in NYC occurred in PSH settings.

We need your help learn more about the needs of PSH tenants and provider agencies amidst the ongoing overdose crisis! We are asking for you to complete a brief survey about your agency’s PSH portfolio. You may have done a similar survey 2 years ago; your response today is still very valuable. Your response is also very valuable no matter the size of your agency, population of tenants you serve, and degree to which overdose is a concern – we are trying to get a full picture of the issues across New York and New Jersey PSH sites.

We will be using this survey together with colleagues from NYU School of Medicine to help us plan for an upcoming study testing an overdose prevention technical assistance intervention for PSH. We will not be publishing or posting results from this survey or any information about who did the survey, so please feel free to answer honestly. If you complete the survey, you may be eligible to participate in a future NIH-funded study in which your agency would be paid and would receive free and robust technical assistance related to substance use and overdose prevention and response (however, please complete the survey even if you are not interested being a part of in this study).

The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by January 15, 2026. For any questions or concerns please contact Lauren Velez (Director, Metro Team at CSH) at lauren.velez@csh.org. Thank you for your time and help.
