Welcome to the survey for the cutting red tape review of the waste sector

The Cutting Red Tape review to identify unnecessary barriers to growth and productivity in the waste sector ran between July and September 2015. It sought evidence of barriers in the law, how it is implemented and enforcement activity which is carried out on the ground. Its aim is to identify ways of removing unnecessary barriers whilst also maintaining the protection of human health and the environment.

In addition to our ‘call for evidence’, you can help us by providing as much information as you are able about your company’s experience. In this questionnaire, we are seeking specific estimates from businesses of any unnecessary costs associated with regulatory burdens. Please provide your best estimates of time or costs entailed in certain activities – we appreciate these may be estimates only.

The information provided will remain anonymous as far as possible and we do not ask you to name your company. Data collected will be used in a final published report setting out the findings of all our evidence-gathering (which also includes face to face meetings and written submissions). Data will be presented in aggregate form, so individual cases cannot be identified.

The survey closes on Monday, 19th October 2015. The survey should take about 15-20 minutes.

Many thanks for participating, your feedback is important.
